GENERAL
Ranjit Sinha ,DG,ITBP (BH-1974) Welcome to
the web site of the Indo Tibetan Border Police. This web site has been hosted
for the benefit of viewers, who may be interested to know the functioning of
this unique police force, which protects the Himalayas, and also for those
who may be interested in seeking a career. Life
is tough in ITBP but full of adventure as we live close to Nature, but at the
end of the day, it gives us great satisfaction of having learnt something of
the power, beauty and the primordial effect of environment on humanity. This
is the only Force of its kind in the world for its size, and for the charge
of its duties. I hope when you get yourself acquainted with our functions,
you will be encouraged to take a trek into the Nature's realm in the
